Acute arthritis in the ankle associated with Reiter’s syndrome. Enteropathic reactive arthritis may have fulminant symptoms and may resemble septic arthritis. This adolescent boy had a reddened ankle. There were also symptoms in two other joints. Balanitis circinata in the glans penis and conjunctival flushing were observed. The causative agent was Yersinia enterocolitica.
